What are Elastics?
Elastics, or rubber bands, are attached to your braces to create proper forces to allow us to correct bite problems and move teeth.
How effective are Elastics?
To be effective, elastics must be worn as directed - usually full time, except for tooth cleaning. They should be changed daily, or if they break. Any time missed in wearing your elastics will make your treatment longer, so remember;
- You are responsible for wearing your elastics as instructed.
- Always carry spare elastics with you.
- If you lose your elastics or run out, call us and we can send you more.
